LYSD Transition Camp: This is a project for High School Students on an IEP who are given the opportunity to go to Anchorage and see some options available to them after high school. Normally we will tour the college campus, Job Corps in Palmer, etc. as well as job sites, students also learn skills needed for the city. Special Olympics: We have participated in Special Olympics for the last 4 years including a district-wide meet for both the bowling and snowshoeing events as well as the state games in Anchorage. For more info about the LYSD Special Olympics program please contact John Hargis. |
